[It's early. Too early. Norma groans as the sunlight from outside hits her smack in the face, and she squeezes her eyes shut as she curls up in her bed, putting a pillow over her head to block the light. Ugh...no...not yet! Go away, sun, she still wants to sleep in for a few more hours! It's too early to get up on a Saturday morning. Yet, even at Norma's best, she cannot beat the blazing sun and grunts as she sits up in bed, grumbling and flinging the blankets off herself. Unknown to the young teenager, she actually left her journal on her bed last night, and the action of swinging her sheets off knocks the journal against the wall, having it fall open and immediately start recording. It's a shame she's still half asleep right now, too, otherwise she would have actually noticed that happening. Oh well.

Norma sniffs, climbing out of bed and scratching her untidy bedhead, looking properly frazzled after a long, wondrous night of sleep. If only she could still be within its majestic arms... Whatever, maybe she'll take a nap today, after lunch or something. As she contemplates such things, and heads toward the bathroom to wash up, she stops in front of her mirror, staring at her reflection.]

Mmh... [Shifting positions, Norma raises a brow and puffs out her lower lip.] Huuh...oooh... [And after taking a step closer to the mirror, she smooths down the front of her shirt, running her hands over her chest, watching her reflection and how her little breasts just barely peek out from the tightened material. Norma sighs, then lets the shirt go and grumbles angrily.]

Another year...and no progress at all. Come on, you guys! We're gonna have some serious issues here pretty soon. I mean, I feed you, I water you, I'm even talking to you right now! The least you could give me back is a few inches! I'm not talking G-Girl level, but get real! This [Yeah, she's pretty much grabbing her boobs right now, glaring at her reflection.] is not okay. You guys gotta get a move on, I mean it. I'm not gonna wait around forever. You've got til next year to grow at least three inches, got it? Three inches or we're over.

[What would giving up entail, exactly? Simply accepting her body as it was, or seeking alternative measures for a curvier silhouette? For a moment, Vivi has an unbidden flash of Norma taking a page from Igaram's book when he served as a decoy for the princess--wearing falsies that look more than a little coconut-like--and it's all she can do not to burst out into giddy laughter. She stifles it as best she can, since she doesn't think Norma will take that well, nor indeed find the humor in it even if Vivi explained, though a few small giggles do manage to escape.]

[Vivi speaks quickly to cover, trying to steer the conversation in another, hopefully safer, direction.] That would give you another...two years? Three?

[Giving up means giving up! It means pouting and sulking and whining for a good day or two before flopping on the ground and refusing to continue life as a woman. Her female existence will be over...life was good, but she cannot go on. ...Goodbye!

Yes, that sounds about right, but anyway, Norma luckily doesn't catch onto the laughter - because there would be questions and squinty-eyed looks - and instead perks slightly to the question. Just a little, though. As excited as she is to be finally classed as a "real" adult, it's also a point where she'll throw a fit if she's not taller, prettier, stronger, and curvier. She's got a lot of worth to do to meet those goals and two years doesn't seem like much time at all.]

Two! I'm gonna be eighteen in Luceti pretty soon! I...can't remember what month, since this place's calendar's all wonky and weird, but it's in the spring, I think!

[Vivi certainly knows about the calendar wonkiness, having first arrived her a little after what should have been her birthday, calendar-wise, though just a bit short of it in actuality. In the end, she'd opted to simply continue celebrating her birthday here on its proper calendar day, though it didn't exactly match up perfectly.] You think? But Norma-san, you should at least pick a day to celebrate it! [Her expression turns a bit thoughtful.] What day is your birthday normally supposed to be?

[And eighteen...it sounds like she's just about one year younger than Vivi then, since if the princess had bothered to adjust her birthday to Luceti-time, hers would be in the spring as well.]

[Pick a day? Yeah, that's probably just be the best thing to do, wouldn't it? She'd have to work out the math involved to get the correct date and stuff, if there was a way to formulate her calendar into this one, but...meh, just picking one at random seems easier. Even so, Norma begins counting on her fingers, muttering words in a language that Vivi most certainly won't understand.]

The tenth day of the, uhhh...fourth month! So that'd be around, um...I think I wrote it down somewhere-- [There a rustling of paper and Norma looks through her journal, then lifts her head.] April? I think that's right.

Yes, April. [Vivi nods, repeating the date to help it stick.] April tenth. I'll remember that, then. [And it seems the topic has been safely steered from breasts. Success!]

April...April tenth. [Norma also does the same, repeating the date in her head just three times to have it stick. Her memory's good, when she wants it to be, and when a topic interests her. This topic, of course, is of great interest.] I'm gonna be eighteen on April tenth...

Jeeez! Then that really does mean I'll only have two years left to grow up a little more! Oooh...and I've got a long way to go...
